At Sherbrook Primary we have a Local Advisory Committee (formerly our Governing Board).
As chair of the Local Advisory Committee (LAC) for Sherbrook Primary School I would like to warmly welcome you to the governance page.
The LAC is made up of a group of people from a range of backgrounds and professions, including parents, school staff and the headteacher. We aim to support the senior leadership team at Sherbrook by being a “critical friend” and providing strategic oversight of the school. We also aim to develop links with and listen to the wider school community, particularly parents, carers and other family members.
We meet once each term. We also encourage our members to take on a link role, visiting school and looking in detail at various aspects of school life.
Each of our members is committed to supporting the school’s vision: To be a school of excellence, where all pupils are offered a wide and innovative range of opportunities to inspire them to believe in themselves and achieve their full potential.
