Adventurer 1 Class
Overview of class
Welcome to Adventurer 1 class. We are a mixed year 1 and year 2 class. Kate is the class teacher. Sharon is the TA. Sienna and Emma are the ISAs.
Spring 2:
This half term our Topic has been ‘Toy Story’ and we have enjoyed exploring and learning all about different toys. We have made sock puppets, junk model cars and spinning tops.
In English, we have been enjoying our story ‘The Odd Egg’. We have looked at matching animal mothers to their young and describing the colour of spring flowers.
The children are also continuing to work hard in Phonics and practising their letter sounds.
Maths lessons have been all about making simple patterns. The children have used blocks, carpet shape tiles and pictures to create their own simple patterns. They also enjoyed printing patterns outside on the playground.
In Music, we have been enjoying taking part in small group sessions exploring different instruments and joining in with songs and music led by Karolina.
During Learning outside the Classroom, we have been enjoying themed sessions with Pam. We have had lots of fun getting messy and playing with sand, mud and food alongside a focused activity and a range of mark making opportunities using natural materials. They have also enjoyed spending time in the Sensory Garden exploring all the different resources.
Summer 1:
In Topic we will be looking at Minibeasts
In Maths we will be looking at shapes
